Rally Cap Program

The Rally Cap program is an entry level program designed to introduce children to the game of baseball, keeping them active and engaged, while learning the skills of the game in a fun, safe and informative atmosphere.

Rally Cap, while designed for the kids, is also a tremendous teaching tool for coaches just entering the game. A complete set of practice plans, along with drills and skill development ideas are built into this program.

For more information, visit Baseball Saskatchewan and Baseball Canada.

Junior Rally Cap (2019-2021)

Jr Rally Cap games will be played Tuesday and Thursday at the South Corman Park Community diamond.

Senior Rally Cap (2017-2019)

Senior Rally Cap is for those who are either entering baseball for the first time or have played in Jr. Rally Cap previously.  Here we focus on developing skills further to ready our players. They will be scheduled to play/practice twice per week at a diamonds within our zone.Season runs from the beginning of May to the end of June.

Fees are $250 for registration.

Sr Rally Cap games will be played Monday and Wednesday at the South Corman Park Community diamond.

Advanced Rally Cap (2017)

Advanced Rally Cap is a competitive division for 2017-born players (for the 2026 season) with baseball experience (ie. confident batting, comfortable catching/throwing, and are beginning to understand the rules of the game).

Players must try out and qualify for the ARC (Advanced Rally Cap) division. Players who do not make ARC will play Senior Rally Cap.

If your player does not seem to fit in this description, no problem. You can still register for regular Sr. Rally Cap for the normal May/June season if your player wants to play at a developmental level or is learning the basics of the game.

The Advanced season runs from mid-May until mid-July and will include pitching and 11U A rules from the start. The purpose of the new Sr. Rally Advanced division is to create a more level playing field for experienced 2017-born players. In past seasons, there has been a gap between older Sr. Rally players (typically finishing Grade 3) and some of the players who are two years younger (finishing Grade 1).

All 2017 players MUST go through evaluations to determine if they qualify for ARC.  Depending on evaluation results, players may still be placed in Sr. Rally Cap.

Evaluations will assess hitting, pitching, infielding and outfielding skills.  The evaluations also provide valuable practise opportunities and allow ARC coaches to identify trends and areas for player development during the season.

We are hoping to have 1-2 games per week, likely on varying days. Most teams at this level will also practice once per week. Since the season runs until mid-July, players and families must expect to commit to an additional month of baseball.

If this is your child’s first year playing baseball, you should register for regular Sr. Rally Cap. This level allows players to build their Baseball IQ without the pressure of facing live pitching or pitching from a mound.

Above all, our goal is to develop confident ball players who enjoy the game and are set up in an environment where they can thrive. Even if your child has played Rally Cap before, ARC may not be the right fit if they are not yet confident hitting from the machine or catching the ball.

That said, there are some athletic kids who have played extensively in informal settings, attended private baseball sessions, or played other competitive sports may be well suited for this level. Arm strength is a key factor, as players will be throwing across the infield and pitching from a 40-foot mound. If arm strength is still developing, regular Sr. Rally Cap remains an excellent developmental league and is widely recognized across the country as top of its class.

Fees are $325 for registration.

Sr Rally Cap games will be played at the South Corman Park Community diamond.
